Surf Bathing
This is a scene I saw on Galveston beach -- two little boys happily playing in the shallows. It is among my favorites. Interestingly, I think this painting marks a turning point. From this point on, with a few exceptions, nearly every painting is better in some way than nearly every painting that came before. I'm not sure why. But perhaps it's just the cumulative effect of four weeks of daily painting starting to kick in. (No. 32, 8x8", on Raymar panel, Sept. 25, 2012)
