“What we call little things are merely the causes of great things; they are the beginning, the embryo, and it is the point of departure which, generally speaking, decides the whole future of an existence.” (Henri Frederic Amiel)

Matters of Size
Just for fun, I decided to show some of the recent paintings in their relative sizes. The alley is 24"x30", the egret is 24"x36", the pointillist seagull is 18"x24", the unfinished boats painting (at Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco) is 24"x36", and ELISSA (at Fisherman's Wharf, Galveston!) is 18"x18". The daily paintings are all in the range of 6x6" to 8x8", and their actual dimensions are provided when I post them. Since everything looks the same size on a blog, I thought I'd clarify that some of them are much larger than the daily paintings.
