“What we call little things are merely the causes of great things; they are the beginning, the embryo, and it is the point of departure which, generally speaking, decides the whole future of an existence.” (Henri Frederic Amiel)

The Definitive White Kitty Painting
In my opinion, this is the best oil painting I've ever done. It captures (the original painting more so) the challenging stare and posture of my favorite model, the beloved White Kitty. It captures the softness of his fuzzy face, and the way the thick fur separates on his side and flank. Never could have done this without the daily painting practice (and probably couldn't come close to it now, being out of practice). (No. 90, 6x8", on Raymar Art Panel, Dec. 1, 2012)
